Meridian Neighborhood Park
Meridian Neighborhood Park is a nice park with two play structures. This is relatively near the Lacey Costco, Shipwreck Beads and on the way to Tolmie State Park.
Address: 8855 Campus Glen Drive NE

Lakepointe
Lakepointe is one of our favorite parks in Lacey, although the bathroom is quite a hike away from the playground (not good planning on that one). This area has many large fields, a fenced tot area (nice to sit and let the little kids play and not worry they will wander off) and a great play structure.
Address: 6400 Compton Blvd SE (near the Amtrak station)

Cape Dissapointment
This is our favorite camping spot in Washington. We stay in the cabins, that are right next to the wetland, and are quite lovely. There is a Cape Dissapointment Lighthouse nearby and it is a nice trail for a walk and viewpoint. There is great beach access and lots of Lewis and Clark historical memorabilia, including a boardwalk with entries from their journals.

Fort Stevens State Park
We stopped at Fort Stevens State Park in Oregon and checked out this great shipwreck on the beach. The area was so lovely and filled with history. We really liked seeing the wreck on the beach. This is a great spot for a picnic, beach combing and the nearby historical activities.
Location: Off US 101, 10 miles W of Astoria
Boston Harbor
Boston Harbor is a great spot for beach access - it is a boat harbor so there are toxins and you should wash hands and feet when done playing. There is a beach access next to the marina - there you can buy sandwiches and snacks and even seafood. They have brunches on the harbor dock on Sundays and I want to check them out this summer - they started in May. You can also rent kayaks from the marina for kayak tours of the area. They have Pier Peer events in the summer, they are good for over 4 year olds, so I haven't gone yet. In the summer, Boston Harbor School has a really cool playground, I'll have to take pictures of it when we go again this summer.

Battle Ground Lake
We actually went camping in a cabin at Battle Ground Lake, in Battle Ground near Vancouver, Washington. It was really great, there was swimming in the volcanic lake that is really cold, and called a miniature Crater Lake. There is a trail all the way around the lake. And a great play structure. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of the play structure.

Anacortes Community Forest Lands
This is a really great trail through the Anacortes Forest Lands around several lakes including Cranberry Lake - you can make your walk as long as you want.
